Ti2-U fluorescence microscope is an inverted phase contrast fluorescence microscope produced by Nikon. It is composed of Ti2-U microscope, Digital sight 10 microscope, bright field light source and fluorescence excitation light source.

The system can be used for the observation of bright field, dark field, phase contrast, simple polarized light and epi-fluorescence of cell and tissue samples. It can observe and study the fine structure of living cells without affecting the living cell tissue. It can be used for fluorescence detection involving small molecules fluorescence probe and fluorescent protein research, such as subcellular localization, apoptosis detection, immunofluorescence staining, in situ hybridization, high-throughput screening, and photobleaching/photoactivation applications. This microscope is used in conjunction with NIS-Elements imaging software to support various image capture and analysis methods.
