The QTRAP 6500+ LC-MS/MS system features triple quadrupole scanning, linear ion trap scanning, and QTRAP hybrid scanning functionality. This combination integrates the high sensitivity, fast scanning speed, and high throughput of a triple quadrupole with the qualitative capabilities of a linear ion trap. Paired with ESI and APCI ionization sources, the instrument is capable of both quantitative small-molecule detection and analysis of large biomolecules. Consequently, it finds wide application in pharmaceutical analysis, metabolomics, quantitative proteomics, and related fields.
